3 Bright and Happy Diwali Cards

today I am sharing 3 Bright and happy Diwali cards with some adorable stamps Diwali greetings and Celebrating Diwali. CARD 1 Diwali card with masking
This card uses masking technique to create a scene of a happy family celebrating Diwali!

  1. I am using Diwali greetings stamp and Archival ink for stamping, for this card and took the small boy stamp and stamped on a water color paper. Then I stamped the same boy on masking paper and fussy cut it.

2. I put the masked boy on the stamped image and then stamped the lady behind him.

3. Then I stamped the man, next to them.

4. I used Festive lights stamp set and stamped the string of lights on top of the cardstock.

5. I removed the mask and colored the illustrations with Zig markers.

6. Then I stamp my sentiment beneath the lights.

7. I use pumpkin orange cardstock to make a top folding A2 card and adhere my panel with 3d foam tape.

CARD 2 Diwali card with watercolor sky
I have made water color night sky for this Diwali card with kids enjoying their crackers.

  1. For this card also. I am using Diwali greetings stamp and Memento ink for stamping, as I’d be doing Copic coloring for the illustrations. I stamp the boy and the girl and fussy cut them.

2. Then with my Copic alchohol markers I color them.

3. I use Craftangles watercolors in Ocean breeze, Poolside, Mystical waters and Eggplant for coloring my night sky on watercolor paper. I use a strip of washi tape to protect the area that will be the floor.

4. then I splatter white acrylic pain and adhere some silver stars that I cut from Silver glitter sheet and removed the washi tape.

5. For the floor I used Medieval mosaic stencil and first applied Squeezed lemonade Distress oxide ink with Craftangles blending brush and then stenciled the stencil with light pressure of Vintage photo DO.

6. Then I cut my panel with a die cut frame andstamp happy Diwali with vesamark and heat emboss it with white embossing powder. I take Fiery yellow cardstock and adhere my Diwali night sky panel on it and the little kids too.

7. I add some gold dots for the sparkles coming from phooljhadi and my card is done!

CARD 3Diwali card with Sequins toran and Diyas
I have made water color night sky for this Diwali card with kids enjoying their crackers.

  1. I stamped the diya from the Celebrating Diwali stamp set with Memento ink and fussy cut it thrice, as I was not sure if I want my card to be in lanscape or portrait in orientation.

2. I took a brick stencil and stenciled on top folding (portrait orientation decided) Fiery yellow cardstock with Tubby craft’s Light pink ink.

3. For the toran I used Saffron orange sequins to imitate marigold flowers and adheres them with glossy accents.

4. Then between the sequins I added a drop of Emerald Gem drop.

5. And added Yellow citrine Gem drop in the centre of the orange sequin for more interest.

6. And here is our toran ready!

7. I colour my diyas with Copic markers and use two to decorate the wall and stamp two sentiments with Versafine ink from the stamps set Celebrating Diwali.

I adhere my diyas and taddaaa here is beautifully decorated Diwali ready home on a card!
