1 stencil, 3 easy cards!

Hi! I’m using 1 stencil today and playing the Craftangles ‘Anything goes’ challenge.

I’ve been struggling with my mojo of late, so I picked up the first stencil I got my hands on and some inks and made 3 quick cards.

The stencil that I used is ‘Roses all Around’ from Craftangles.

For the 1st card, I stencilled a bunch of roses which covered most of the centre of the card. I stencilled a few leaves..not too many. I stamped the sentiment in the same colour as the roses (‘worn lipstick’ distress oxide ink from Tim Holtz) from the Craftangles ‘Everyday sentiments’ stamp set onto a piece of white cardstock, cut it into a banner and adhered it to the card using 3Dfoam tape.

This design is beautiful, as it allows you to arrange the roses however you like to create different focal points, as you will see in the other two cards that I made.

For the second card, I decided to place the design on the edge of the card, and I stencilled the roses according to their placement.

I also stencilled some leaves and added a stamped sentiment from Craftangles ‘congratulations’ stamp set.

For the third card, I decided to used only two roses from the design and place them in the centre of the card. I stencilled a lot of leaves on this one to bring focus onto the soft flowers in the centre.

I then stamped and cut out the sentiment from Craftangles ‘Everyday Sentiments’ stamp set and adhered to one side for interest.
