3 Fun Masculine Birthday Cards

masculine

Hello!
This month we have a new ‘Masculine’ challenge over on the HNDMD blog!

monthly challenges

So, to insipre you, I have made some masculine cards. I’ve also made some process videos for the same.

For the first card, I have used texture paste and stencilling to create the background for a cup of tea and a newspaper.
I used white texture paste through the brick stencil to create some interest and I love how it turned out.
I die cut and coloured the cup and stamped some kraft paper with Craftangles Old Newspaper stamp to create the newspaper. The sentiment is a simple one from the new Craftangles birthday sentiment sheets.

For the second ‘Masculine’ card, I started with a piece of Craftangles silver mirror card stock. I stencilled over it with with silver metallic texture paste and the craftangles ‘treads’ stencil.
I stamped with Craftangles old newspaper stamp on Craftngles Earl gray cardstock. I then added some black texture paste through the Craftangles ‘gears’ stencil to create some interest. I then stamped and silver embossed the scooter from the Craftangles ‘Road trip’ stamp set and adhered it to the background with 3D foam tape along with a sentiment from the Craftangles birthday sentiment sheets.

For the third ‘masculine’ card, I decided to create a panel using the Craftangles plaid papers.
Who says Masculine cards can’t be colourful eh?
I punched out 1″ squares from scraps that I had left over from other projects. I then ran them through my xyron machine to make them into stickers and then adhered them to a square pre measured panel of white card stock.
I then stencilled the base card directly using the ‘Craftangles ‘starry background’ stencil.
I then cut and coloured the cake and adhered all the elements along with the sentiments from the
Craftangles ‘Birthday sentiments sheet’ to finish the card.
