3 quick and easy Watercolour cards.

Hello! ‘Watercolour’ is the challenge for the month of June, and, here are my inspiration cards for the same.

I decided to use the Craftangles heart stencil mask set to create some watercolour scenes for my cards today.

For the first card, I used the stencil on a sheet of Craftangles rough watercolor paper and created an ocean and beach. I saw something similar on instagram recently, and drew inspiration from there.

I used a wash of a combination of Ocean Breeze and Poolside watercolor from Craftangles to create the ocean and a combination of Lemon Tart and Oh fudge for the beach.

I then carefully removed the stencil and let the painting dry.

Once dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Craftangles ‘Just a Note’ stamp set . I then die cut the panel and matted it with matching Cobalt blue cardstock from Craftangles , and adhered it to a square card base to finish the card.

For the second card, I used the same stencil, to create a field of flowers. The inspiration for this card, came from this Youtube video.

As I remeoved the stencil, I wasn’t very happy with the edges of the heart, so I decided to diecut it.

Once die cut, I had white edges….

..So I decided to paint the heart right to the edges. Once done, I pierced a hole and tied it to the base panel with some jute thread. I really love how it turned out..a soft field of flowers.

The sentiment is from the Craftangles “Girl in the rain” stamp set

For the third card, I placed the stencil on Craftangles rough watercolor paper and painted soft free hand roses . This is my first attempt at trying these free hand roses, and I’m thrilled that they turned out so well.

I used Pretty Peony and Evergreen liquid watercolours from Craftangles and a created a splatter with Lemon Tart liquid watercolor.

I then die cut the panel and matted it with Craftangles ‘Ruby Red’ cardstock and adhered it to a square card base. The sentiment is from the Craftangles ‘Everyday Sentiments’ stamp set.
