Hi everyone! Welcome back, this is Deepti and in today’s project I will be showing you a fun technique. I discovered this technique when I was working on ‘skin tones with different coloring mediums‘ project. I loved it and hence I am here with it – Faux Water Colored Images with Alcohol Markers. For my project I used Sizzix Permanent Markers but any alcohol markers will do the job!
CARD DETAILS
For this you’ll need some stamps, pretty thin card stock, an alcohol friendly ink and alcohol markers. Alcohol Inks bleed through thin paper/card stock which is quite necessary for this technique. Choose the stamps that have more scope for coloring, just go for outline stamps/images.

First stamp the image over the card stock, color it with some bright alcohol colors. There is no need for shading or any fancy coloring techniques, just go with the flow, color and enjoy! I really enjoyed this process a lot.

Once the coloring part was done, flip over the image and yeah! there we have it! A beautiful faux water colored image. This is so very cool and artsy.

I added splatters of Carbon Black Art spray and finished the cards with the sentiments from the co-coordinating stamp sets.
