Floral cards using CrafTangles Liquid Watercolours

This is a guest post by Pooja from Reusing Cards and Quilling

Hello, CrafTangles fans and followers. It’s Pooja from Reusing Cards and Quilling (http://reusingwithquilling.blogspot.com) sharing my experience with newly launched liquid watercolours. As you all must be aware currently there are 7 colours which come in handy little bottles, extremely easy to store. They are very easy to use, them all you have to do is squirt a tiny drop on your palette and start using.

These colours are extremely concentrated and just by varying the amount of water added you can get a range of shades from just a single colour. Plus you can mix them to create new colours as you can see in the picture below.

First Card

I stamped a tulip from “Just a note” Stamp set and coloured them. The biggest USP of these colours is their saturation I haven’t used up even small drop after colouring all these flowers. After initial trials, I made a small note card with those lovely tulips. I stamped only part of the bunch masked it to stamp one more tulip. These images are detailed and due to stamping with light ink I lost most of them! I have used ripe plums colour for flowers and a mix of lemon tart, poolside and evergreen for leaves

Second Card

On the next card, I stamped the tulip bunch as it is and coloured them using Soul mate, Lemon tart, Autumn blaze and ripe plums for shadows. I drew black strips with markers on the background and layered a piece of gold foil beneath the watercoloured panel. The sentiment is from the same set.

Third Card

On the third and final card, I used “Happily ever ” Stamp set. Started by stamping the floral bunch repeatedly with grey ink on the card base and stamped it on watercolour paper separately. Colours used are Soulmate, Evergreen, Lemon Tart.
