Happy Sankranti!

Hello!
Happy Sankranti!
Today we celebrate the festival of kites!!
I wanted to celebrate this festival through my cards today.
For m first card, I have used a motif from the Craftangles ‘Shubh Labh’ stamp set.
I stamped the motif, masked it, stamped over it and repeated the  process till I had a string of kites. I watercoloured them, masked them again and created the sky background by using a cloud mask and distress ink.
I finished the card with a sentiment from Verses Rubber stamps.
I just love the versatility of this stamp that allowed me to create this happy card!

To create my second card, I started with the Lawn Fawn scalloped box die, cut from white cardstock.
I used a cloud mask and coloured the outside of the box using
Faded Jeans  Distress ink from Tim Holtz.
I then die cut the clouds (Simon Says Stamp) and the kites (sizzix) and,
fixed them using strips of acetate.
I then finished the card with a sentiment from Craftangles ‘Girl in the rain’ stamp set and some
Craftangles ‘Bumblebee yellow’ sequins.
Again the versatility of the stamp set allowed me to create such a fun and cheerful card!
