Interactive Cards – Celebrating love

Hello Everyone ,

I am Swapna from MagicPaperPixie . For my first project I have made three interactive cards for Valentine’s day with all the beautiful CrafTangles goodies that were sent my way. I am super excited to share my first CrafTangles DT project with you.

Sometimes we need (a bit ) of drama in our life to make things a tad bit more interesting so I decided to make 3 interactive cards that are interactive in some way or the other. This goes perfectly with the Celebrate Love  theme for this months Craftangles monthly challenge.

Take a look below for the details:

monthly challenge

Here is the first interactive card using CrafTangles Photopolymer Stamps – Will you be Mine and the CrafTangles 6″x6″ Stencil – Flower Cluster

For this card I have used Craftangles Classic Smooth white cardstock for the base and the panel. The card has a circular sneakpeek window on the front with little balloons showing up from the inside.  However when you open the card , the card reveals the little girl holding the balloons. For the front panel of the card I have used distress oxides (seedless preserves, picked raspberry, abandoned coral) which I have blended using the handy CrafTangles blending brushes over their flower cluster stencil. To provide the sneakpeek window, I used a die cut to cut a circle into the front panel of the card and lined and stamped the little girls image on the inside of the card so as to ensure only the balloons are visible through the window. The image has been coloured with copics and the sentiment on the front panel is embossed with white on a vellum strip to make it stand out a bit. I also added few pearls and clear water droplets to embellish the card.

My second interactive card is a different take on the same stamp Will you be Mine along with a different stencil this time CrafTangles 6″x6″ Stencil – Overlapping Circles. This time I wanted to add drama in a little different way.  Nothing says drama like a little peekaboo card  so that’s what I have done here . I have used the caramel brown cardstock by Craftangles to make 3 parts of the card and then assembled them . I have also stamped one of the sentiments from the Will you be mine stamp set as the peek a boo element in two parts on heart shaped die cuts with white cardstockwhich are them adhered to the card. The sentiment says “All of me , Loves all of you”. The first part of the sentiment is seen through when the card is closed and the second part part when the card is opened. The girls image is on the front of the card stamped and colored with copics , for the background on the front of the panel I blended in some antique linen distress oxides with overlapping circles stencils to add some visual texture to break the monotony and further added a few small heart shaped dies along with some sequins to embellish the card.

The third interactive card is a simple shaker card made using a heart die and CrafTangles 6″x6″ Stencil – Overlapping Circles with some dye inks and glitter/shaker elements trapped inside a transparent heart bubble. I glued the ink blended panel on a subtle gold cardstock to add a little glitter to the panel and then adhered it to a Craftangles caramel brown cardstock side folding note card. I then embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set in white onto a black strip of paper and added some sequins to embellish it further.
