Sunken Bottle – Mixed Media Project

Altered mixed media bottle by Monalisa Dutta.

Hello everyone,
Monalisa here and wish you all a very Happy New Year. Today I am sharing another mixed media tutorial on upcycling of a bottle into a showpiece. I hope you are all having a great day.

Before explaining about my work, I want to highlight the challenge of January month’s “Trash to Treasure”. Please do participate on our monthly blog challenge by clicking on the link and also visit our blog to see fabulous inspiration projects from our design team members.

Sunken Bottle - Mixed Media Project 1

I have altered a used empty bottle into an antique bottle found in ocean. We know that current month’s challenge is “Trash to Treasure” so I created an ocean found treasure by altering a bottle which supposed to be a trash. I love altering bottles and cans, because there are lots of ways to use these upcycled objects. In this case I can use this bottle as a showpiece or can use as a vase. So, for a crafter current month’s theme basically gives tons of options to upcycle any item.

Let’s look into the complete project:
