3 Quirky and Offbeat Diwali Cards

Hello Everyone !!!

My name is Archisha Mukherjee from Kenchi School and I welcome you to the tutorial of making 3 Quirky Diwali cards using some offbeat designs.

But before proceeding any further, let us talk about the November monthly challenge. This month, the challenge is going on as “Glitters / Ethnic” projects. You can take a look below for the details of our monthly challenge.

To keep the designs unconventional to Diwali, I majorly focused on using colours which did not always resonate with Diwali .

Rainbow Inspired Diwali Card :

The stamps used for this card are the Craftangles Diwlai Wishes , Craftangles Happy Diwali and Craftangles Festival Of Lights stamp set for the elements and the sentiment.

The main inspiration for this card was the rainbow colours. All the fuzzy cut diyas were placed in a circular manner around the rangoli design in the center. The sentiment is gold heat embossed.

Avant-Garde Lakshmi Card :

I ventured into using the Craftangles Liquid Watercolurs in the shades Lemon Tart, Poolside and Pumpkin Orange. I created an Abstract design with the watercolours and stamped my Goddess Lakshmi onto it from Craftangles Shubh Labh Stamp Set.

Another new Craftangles product that i used for this one is the Craftangles Gold Texture Paste. I used the paste with Craftangles Marble Effect Stencil for the card background.

End to End Shaker Jazz-y Diwali Card :

I had so much fun creating this one. I did have some failed attempts (which meant long hours cleaning glitter off my table) but yet it was fun. I made a blue ombre background with some distress oxide inks and layered some white pigment ink with the Craftangles Round Lace Stencil.

For the shaker elements i chose Craftangles Shimmer Silver stars which gives a beautiful holographic effect. I went back to the Craftangles Happy Diwali die set or the perfect sentiment.
