Hello, DT Henriette here sharing this mixed media tag.
I have a step-by-step photo tutorial prepared for you.
First I cut a tag shape from thick cardboard paper. It’s approx. 10,5 by 17,5 cm.
I covered the tag with a few layers of white gesso.
Then I added texture using a stencil and texture paste.
I colored the tag using pink chalk paint and art sprays, violet pink and black. I make different layers and in between spraying with paint and sprays and water I dry the tag with my heat gun. You play with the colors until you have the result you want.
With the CrafTangles “Old newspaper” stamp and black ink I’ve added more interest to the tag.
To give the edges a nice shine I added iridescent wax on the edges and corners.
I embellished this tag with a wood frame, lace, a chipboard flower and some metal flowers. These were also painted black and finished with a red wax.
Finally I added art stones.
After coating the art stones with gesso, I colored them with the chalk pink paint.
