This is Swapna from Magic Paper Pixie. Today I have a different set of cards for you guys .
This time I wanted to try my hands at some shabby chic / vintage type cards to go with our monthly challenge.
This months challenge is Vintage or Shabby Chic. Do join the monthly challenge ,we would love to see your take on the vintage /shabby chic theme.
All the three cards today are vintage or shabby chic themed today .
For the first card I used the flower stamp “You are in my thoughts” and watercolored it using some tombows and then mounted it with some foam tape on a watercolor paper. Before I mounted the fussy cut stamped flower I used a background stamp I had in my stash and stamped the whole card panel in light vintage distress oxide .
Once I distress the edges of the watercolored card stock with a distress tool (you can slso use the blades of the scissors.) I pasted the whole thing a little obliquely on the card. It gives a very worn and vintage look to the card.
For the second card I used some of the pattern papers from the felicity collection of craftangles and combined it with some flowers and some Craftangle chipboards.
For the final card I used the flower stamp and painted it with shades of brown and simply mounted it with lace and chip board on the kraft cardstock by craftangles.
