Altered Boxes

Well Guys Happy New Year.. Hope you guys had amazing fun.. Well I did
too in my own quiet way.. But I am a kind of person who can enjoy
Solitude anywhere and anytime.. So I thought why not start the new year
by sharing a post on something I love.. And immediately I thought why
not a post on crafting..  So today I am going to share some of the mixed
media and punch crafted Altered boxes I made for the kids who live next
door to me for their Crafting Project.. Well I love this project
because they provided me with a biggest challenge a crafter can get
“Keep It Simple” 🙂
So here I stat with the images of the first Box –

What I did was color the entire box first with Black Acrylic Paint.. I added two coats of the same..Then I have used some Sizziz leaves die.. The butterflies are the left overs of my Ek Success butterfly punch.. (A nice way to mass produce butterflies and at the same time to create borders out of papers.. Don’t u think ;)).. The flowers are an old Punch bunch buys.. I hardly use them so thought why not.. Have decorated the flowers with pearls.. I have also used some 3D outliners on eaves and butterflies..

Now the second box.. this is more of Mixed Media..

I took the acrylic paint and colored entire box white and let it dry.. Used some the borders cut by MS punches and some lace.. Added them to create a layer.. Then I coated everything with pink acrylic paint and before it dries misted it with water thus giving a distressed and aged look.. For the focal point I have used an angel from Inkadinkado stamps.. The sentiment is Papertry Ink stamp.. I have used some gemstones from my stash..

And this completes my post.. Hope you enjoyed it and do share some feedback and love 🙂

Happy Crafting,
Khyati
