Mini me.. :)

Heyloooz…
So things don’t go as planned. I have tried to post this mini album for about 6 times but something or else came up!!
Yeah for a change I opened my course books and decided to compile things. Now when I do that …my mind stops multi-tasking. Hence absolutely no crafting .. (Don’t even ask me how it feels??) Its fatal to my existence. Anyway I made an envelope mini some time back for my school BFF but I never got around mailing it due to my stuff. :S So you guys get to be the first ones to check it out 😉

I gather the cover would amount to shabby chic category but I will let you decide.
Yes I am the new idea-o-logy fan. No I am an oldie…its amazing how Tim Holtz decided to make those things I dreamed of owning in my childhood. The amazing book-corners, the ornate book plates which I am sure to use in hardware projects sometime later.
Yeah the cover is pretty simple. Since I got my very good friend bring me some stuff from US ..I used much of it here ..as a trial.
So you can see a pair of stickled MS monarch butterflies and and  I misted d flowers with perfect pearls and lets just say I am utterly disappointed with those.
Alrightey.. That apart I used book corners and ornate plate and I adore it.
I don’t want to talk about the flowers because that is sure to remind you of the tutorial I haven’t had the time to do. 😛
Pretty much everything is covered.

Oh yeah…did I tell you about these awesome idea-o-logy fragments which I used as charms for the spine of the album?
Aren’t they just adorable?
I used Basic grey mini alphabets..some beads and ribbon bows. It says friend you are the best.

Its essentially mauve in colour. I used shades of lilac, mauve and purple since that’s her favourite colour palette.
Doiley lace border was used to hide the page joints. Then we have MS embroidery border for envelope page inserts that have pearls on them.

About the binding.. its stack the deck courtesy Laura Denison from follow the paper trail. Isn’t she out of this world awesome ??
Its a chunky 8 page album which stays shut on its own..so I didnt add a closure. Yes call me lazy !

I used two envelope sizes. One that makes the main page that is 4.5” by 7”.
The other envelope size 10 was cut into half to make two additional pockets that fold from the opposite sides into the main page.

Smallers inserts were put into the smaller pockets. Check below for the comparison between insert sizes.

Also for the spine . Well..I used chipboard to make the cover and paper mania capsule collection was used on all the pages.  I had a 4″ wide crocheted lace that was used to join the cover flaps to the spine.
